Worldwide Wild Things: Where the Wild Things Are Goes Multilingual!* - October 15th at 10:30 AM.  

Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are  storytime in English, Spanish, German, French, and American Sign Language. Be a wild thing: dance a wild dance and sing wild songs! (For up to age 7 with their grown-ups).

   

Not-So-Wild Things* - October 15th at 6:30PM

Therapy dogs from K-Pets visit the Library's Large Meeting Room with their trainers for an evening of fun and facts about the work therapy dogs do. There may even be a trick or two! (All ages. (Children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult.)

Sleepy Hollow Wild Thing* - October 17th at 1:00PM

Actor Neill Hartley will dramatize an American classic: Washington Irving's comic story of ghosts and romance, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, featuring the ultimate "wild thing", the Headless Horseman!  (Ages 8 & up; younger at parental discretion)

Where the Wild Things Live* - October 20th at 6:30 PM

Naturalist Clyde Gamber, from Lancaster County Environmental Center, brings his box of  hands-on activities for a show-and-tell about Wild Things and their habitats. (Kindergarten through adult)

Wild Hair Thing* - October 20th at 6:30 PM

Local hairdressers from Elizabethtown Holiday Hair will bring styling products and temporary hair colors to the Library to give your hair that "Wild Thing" look. (Middle School & High School, younger with parent)

Where the Spooky Things Are* - October 22nd at 6:30 PM

Elizabethtown College's Education Club presents fun projects to make and take, and of course with stories to tell, all about Halloween! (Grades K - 3).

Party Like a Halloween Wild Thing!*- October 26th at 6:00 PM - Games, refreshments, and a special guest! Activities for all ages! Costumes encouraged. Limit: 50.
